By using BetterNot, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Purpose of the App

BetterNot provides nutrition analysis, health-oriented menu scores, and educational tools based on publicly available data and established research.
BetterNot does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical concerns.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the app.
If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.

3. Your Account

When you create an account, you’re responsible for:

  • Ensuring your information is accurate,

  • Keeping your login secure

  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized activity.

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

BetterNot offers optional paid subscriptions for additional features.

By subscribing, you agree that:

  • Your payment method will be charged at the interval you select (monthly or yearly).

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.

  • You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime through your App Store or Google Play account settings.

We do not handle billing directly; refunds are managed by your platform provider.

5. What We Do and Don’t Promise

We strive for accurate nutrition information and scoring, but:

  • Restaurant data may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate.

  • Scores are estimates based on our algorithm and public studies.

  • We cannot guarantee the correctness of any menu item, ingredient list, or nutritional breakdown.

BetterNot is an educational tool — use it as guidance, not as a medical directive.

6. Acceptable Use

By using the app, you agree NOT to:

  • Misuse, copy, or reverse-engineer our scoring system, software, or database,

  • Attempt to extract or scrape large amounts of data,

  • Use the app to harass, harm, or mislead others,

  • Upload harmful code or interfere with the app’s functionality.

Violation of acceptable use may result in account removal.

7. Intellectual Property

All content in the app, including scoring formulas, UI/UX design, branding, text, and imagery, is owned by BetterNot and protected by copyright and trademark laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without permission.

8. Privacy

Your use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains:

  • What data we collect

  • How we use it

  • Your rights regarding that data.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law:

  • BetterNot is not responsible for decisions you make based on our information.

  • We are not liable for errors in nutrition data, algorithm scoring, or restaurant information.

  • The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

Using the app means you accept these limitations.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally.
When we do, we’ll update the “Last Updated” date and may notify users inside the app.

Continued use of the app after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
